Seeing work by 404 Zero and experiencing Tin Drum’s Medusa made me want to explore site-specific art in AR. After setting aside an earlier shared drawing idea, I returned to a smaller study of light and atmosphere.

Drawing on particle work at Red 6, I built smoke from cloud sprites and noise-driven motion. Broad haze and fine wisps suggest volume. Textured light slices with additive blending approximate light scattered through the smoke.

I separated particle size, density, and opacity so I could tune the appearance on a headset. Later source expands a stationary laser fan into ceiling and wall strips, a chase, and corner rails, with a horizontal-plane detector aligning the ceiling assembly.

This is a particle approximation, not fluid simulation. Ceiling alignment does not provide full room occlusion, and nearby particles can reveal their billboard structure. Stereo appearance, near-eye artifacts, and performance need evaluation. Multi-user alignment remains future work.
