Feed a document into a small shredder, watch it tear into strips, and follow the pieces into the bin. The animation gives the action a visible beginning, transformation, and destination.

The later native app accepts documents through a Dock icon or companion window. Files move to the system Trash before animation starts; a failed move does not play a successful shred.

Undo can restore files during the session and refuses to overwrite an existing item. Quitting clears the app’s Undo history, while the files remain in Finder’s Trash. This is ordinary deletion, not secure erasure.

The native project includes file round-trip checks. The remaining design question is whether the animation stays enjoyable when discarding many files in everyday use.
